You guys are so mean...

I'm new at all this, but you could find an old road frame, with horizontal dropouts, and build one, or you could buy an IRO (www.irocycle.com), which come highly recommended by pretty much everyone. I would personally use a front brake, on a fixed bike, but it seems that many people do not use any brake at all.
