I think there are good values to be had at Bikesdirect if you know what you are looking for and are handy with a wrench. I do agree that at times they try to confuse people a little. However if you are selective you can get some good deals. The Motobecane thread that was posted recently had componenets and wheels that made the frame close to a throw away.
