What we really need, given the rise of disc brakes, are ovoid rear wheels to compensate for the dead spot in the pedal stroke.....

Oh wait... that would only work at 1:1 gearing...
And then there's biopace...


So, yeah, the more I look at that bike the more I ask myself, "Why?"
