Haha, I don't. See the handle in front? And there's no freewheeling, per se. There's only the smallest amount of "play", but it's really not noticeable, and you get used to it.
The only time there could be "free wheeling", is if the bearing cap became too loose, allowing the knurled bearing (left side) to spin. That would be very, VERY bad, and could result in a bad fall, especially if you were at high speed when/if that happened. I do a "flight check" of sorts before each ride, just to be safe.

The 26er becomes a 39er in high gear, and that's more than fast enough for this 55 year old!
