I carry Afterbite with me.
Basically, ammonia in the Afterbite breaks down the proteins in the sting and minimizes the severity of the bite.
The quicker you get it on, the more effect it has in terms of minimizing the reaction.
I got nailed twice in the same day a couple of weeks ago.
Yellowjacket got me in the ankle while I was stopped chatting.
Then about 30 minutes later, riding - felt something stinging my leg, brushed away a hornet/wasp.
Both times put Afterbite on immediately, and did several more applications to the hornet sting.
The yellowjacket sting was reduced to about like a mosquito bite - the wasp - was minimized but spread over a large area.
Had I not had the Afterbite, I would have had to call my wife to pick me up after the wasp sting, really got nailed on that one.
