It's good for DIY projects. When I was into model railroading, it was great for getting little lights, wires, battery harnesses, etc. to customize the models with. I heard their radios don't use the same channel numbers as everyone else, and other products are not compatible with non RS stuff, so I stay away from their ready-to-use products.
