Second road bike I find on cl. I go check it out and it's covered with chain oil. The owner has never cleaned he bike in several years of use and is asking 60% of the price of the same bike new. I get the guy down to just over 50%. I was more comfortable in the 40% of new price. I walked on the sale. The bike flippers in the DFW area are causing distortions in the bike prices. I've come to the conclusion cl is a complete waste of my time in my area due to the full-time cl flippers driving used prices up. It's to the point where it makes more sense to buy new from a well priced bike shop than waste time competing with full-time flippers with deep pockets.
