Guv'nor qualities, but affordable price?

I'm the proud papa of an awesome Xtracycle -- I love that bike to death. However, sometimes it's a bit unwieldy to ride around the behemoth. I absolutely am enamored with the Pashley Guv'nor style, riding position, and overall design (low maintenance, drum brakes, single speed or IGH), but can't stomach the price. It's one of those bikes I know I would be afraid to lock up outside for any period of time.

So I'm looking for a bike with that vintage appeal, steel, low maintenance (drum brakes, IGH or single speed, would love a dynamo), and slightly more aggressive riding position, but less expensive then the Guv'nor (ideally around $750). Will be used for general around town riding and commuting ~5-7 miles. Is there anything out there production that meets these specs? Thus far, the closest I've come is something like the Trek Belleville or the Linus Gaston, however neither of these have the drum brakes. Any ideas?
