If you have income, you are most certainly not judgement proof... I had a friend who was hit by a young punk many years ago. The punk was uninsured as well... The court awarded my friend damages and collection fees and imposed a seizure of a portions of the punks earnings to ensure payment. Wasn't much, but ten years later when the punk had gotten married and wanted to buy a house he had to make a lump sum payment which included the remainder of the original award, plus interest and assorted collection fees...

Oh, and if you own any property (TV, bikes, etc...) at all it can be seized to repay judgements. Your statements here about being "judgement proof" would give many judges just the incentive they need to slam you...
