Chombi, I think you may be right. the RD has that black plastic thing going on, (I think) but it's not the super-Crappy base Simplex like on a UO-8. It looks like it may actually shift. 30 hour project but the price is right. i own the wheels off it, put them on my Super Mirage , they are sweet. The freewheel runs smooth and has that wonderful old-time zzzzzzzz sound.

Thanks everyone for the help. I have a HLE P-4 Corbier, and like it a lot. made in Canada. I think it's like an '87.
