It's the opposite. It makes it more important to get out of the way of the many, many,many cars who don't notice you at all. If anything, the Idaho laws make more sense here.
Funny thing is I find I am noticed a lot; so much that I am more likely to get abuse/long blast on the horn than shaved/ran into from behind because I do get seen as
I am riding as a vehicle. Maybe something to consider?
