Bikes: 1995 Trek 520 is the current primary bike.

Just thinking about this, I've got a spare stem, wrapped handlebar, aero brake lever assembly with good hoods at home so I think I'll slip it onto the Centurion and see how the reach feels. One stem bolt, thread the cables and housings, and I might be good to go. Then I can peel off the gooey gummi bears before they adhere to the brake lever housings and after that I can take my time finding something else.

I would try a temp restore but the base of the hoods is peeling/curling up and I think the only cure for that would be trimming off the offending portions. The whole hoods currently feel offending so I think they're beyond salvation. I'm surprised they haven't started dripping onto the floor below the bike yet.
