I'll add my name to those who are saying go for it! As posted, be aware of the challenges of late season touring. As long as you are prepared, it won't be a problem. There was a thread either here or on Crazyguy about two guys who rode from Canada to DC last January( I think?). In snow!!!!! it wasn't pretty, but they did it. Amazing pixs and hats off to some amazing cold weather riding. So, IMO, anything is doable if you are prepared.

I will add, that you might consider coming off the route to go straight down the coast. This routing change comes with a positive and a negative. The bad news is the prevailing wind will be out of the south. And it could be strong as it's off the ocean. However, those ocean breezes bring warmer temps as the water will still be relatively warm.

Lastly, don't plan on the weather getting a lot warmer as you move south. Not until late in the trip will you be far enough south to get warmer weather. If it's 35 in Philly, it might be 40 in Charlotte and 45 in Savannah. That same day could be 65 in Jacksonville.
