I ride my bike in 6 states while traveling for business. In Illinois, the "farm" roads or country roads are mostly the chip and tar. One thing not to do, is make sudden changes in direction. Several years ago, I tried turning away from the fresh tar and when I did the bike shot out from under me and I broke my elbow. Have fun.
