I noticed that a lot of you guys are talking about changing your gearing on the MTB. Any reason so? I guess I don't quite understand due to my only experience commuting being via a FG/SS.

But, I'm in the process of converting a MTB to a commuter. 26x1.25 tires are on the way, but I was curious as to why MTB gearing is so bad? Seems like it has been somewhat OK to me so far.
