The bunch here in C&V have tons of strong opinions and we have no problem sharing those opinions, as you can see.
I think if it is about function and you like the aesthetic, then go for it. I'll be interested to see the result, but be ready for the onslaught from the folks here when you do. At least you're not proposing putting that fork on a English 3-Speed!!
