I have a co-worker who does triathlons and wanted to get a new bike. He couldn't decide between Dura-Ace or "Ultralegra". When I realized he was finally saying it correctly, I asked him how the hell he ever got "Ultralegra" out of Ultegra. Turns out he's a car guy, Lamborghini Ultraleggera.
When I was buying my first MTB (a GT Tequesta at age 13) the salesmen referred to the component group as "Exgage" (pronounced ex-gage). It took me a long time to get out of the habit of saying that rather than "Exage", which doesn't sound nearly as cool in my opinion.

I have heard "Ultegra" butchered quite frequently but I can't remember the exact combination of syllables used.
