I'm a teacher, so I just resumed my commuting this week. It was a gorgeous week here in Shanghai - sunny skies, morning temperatures around 24-25, afternoon temperatures around 30 - perfect bike riding weather.

I rode nearly 1000 miles over my two months of vacation, including 5 100km+ rides (one full century), so I feel much better about my 45km round trip commute this time round - so I did it 4 of the 5 days this week and only didn't go on Monday because I had an errand to run in the morning before I went to work so I took the Metro that day. I feel great about commuting, and am planning to ride 5 days a week this term - just the view of the city I get from the top of a bridge along my newly altered commute route makes the whole ride really worth it.

No worries about winter weather here any time soon - won't be chilly until mid/late December, and even that won't be anything compared to what some of you guys will be riding in by that stage.
