IMO flying with a folding bike isn't really worth it these days.
The process is a big PITA. You need to disassemble the bike, pack it, drag it to the airport, hope it doesn't get banged up or screwed up by the airlines and TSA, drag it from the airport, find a spot to store the case, and reassemble it. At the end of the trip, you've got to do it all over again.
Airlines are also charging more and more for regular baggage, which narrows the financial advantages.
If it's a short trip, I'd try to find a bike rental option. If it's a longer trip, a standard touring bike in a cardboard box, or shipping it, is a little easier.
