Recumbents in bike races would essentially end sprinting as we know it. Any standard bikes would be long gone by the time the sprint arrived and leadout tactics would be moot.
If there were all recumbents, what if a mix was allowed? Which would dominate?
I dont get the talk about bike manufacturers. If recumbents started dominating racing, Trek and Specialized would just start making recumbents.
