Regardless of wind or not, 45mph on a flat is so fast that it screams "TOTAL BS" all over this forum.

I can throw up a good roadie sprint, and even on a pretty significant downhill which you can do no pedaling and roll to 22-25mph, I have to pedal pretty much all out to hit 45mph.

Mark Cavendish hits 45mph on a flat. Something makes me think the person who claims to be doing this, wind assist or not, is not riding anywhere in the same league as Mark cavendish.

Heck, even 35mph on a flat, even for a few seconds, is a VERY hard sprint for a strong amateur rider.

EDIT - Crap. Dang metric system. I think the other guy meant 45 KPH, not mph. That makes a lot more sense. Friggin' reading comprension.
