I don't think the 7900 is the right wheel for you either, but for what it's worth I believe* you can still use standard clinchers on most (all?) tubeless wheels, including the 7900s. So if you see a set of tubeless wheels you otherwise like, don't be put off by the weak adoption of road tubeless tires.

* someone will probably chime in if I'm wrong, or double-check with whomever you're buying them from.
