OK, I checked Minnesota bike clubs, which seem to be mostly in the Twin Cities. None up north. They do have event calendars but I note that they do not include northern events because the ride next weekend that I am going to miss is not listed.

I did find a charity ride (150 registration/minimum fund raising fee) in the cities area September 24. http://action.lungusa.org/site/TR/Bi...try&fr_id=3450. Looks like no minimum speed, which is a worry of mine, and rest stops are open for a long time. I am considering this one but I have no idea how flat or hilly the route is, which may effect how many miles I would want to do.
