Hi, my name is Heather and I'm from the Seattle area. I have been riding road bikes for about 10 years, since I joined my college triathlon and cycling teams. I've been mostly road touring and bike commuting since then.
My main motivation for joining your forum is because I have a handmade steel Greg Lemond bicycle that I am interested in 1) identifying and 2) eventually selling. I bought this bike used at the Denver VeloSwap in 2002 as my first road bike. Alas, the frame is too big for me (I'm 5'10") and I recently purchased a much better fitting bicycle now that I am finally done with grad school and have a real job. However, my old Greg Lemond always seems to garner attention from knowledgeable cyclists, and the mechanics at my local bike shop (Greggs Cycles) always seem to go starry-eyed when I bring this bike into the shop for a tune-up. I will post a proper thread with all the pics in the vintage bikes forum, but here's an overview picture of the bike to get the mental juices flowing (bike seat is just an old one that I slapped on temporarily). Thanks in advance for your help!
