Bikes: Mikkelsen custom steel, Santa Cruz Chameleon SS, old trek trainer bike

I just spend the 10-15 on deda tape myself (personal pref of course), but aren't most good tapes priced in that range? Tape seems like something to spend the extra $8 on if it makes your hands more comfortable and provides better grip.
