If you want great service from a locally-owned shop that's been in the business for over thirty years I'd say drive to St. Charles (IL) and visit The Bike Rack, 2930 Campton Hills RD (just a few blocks away from Randall RD and not far from RT 64) 1-800-711-BIKE. I spent several hours over a five-day period discussing my potential purchase with Nancy. She agreed to match the price of another bike shop and provided me with the best customer service I've received from any retailer (except the Apple Store, Naperville - great service as well!). The staff is always attentive and engaging, even the small banter back and forth is genuine and they have a knack for remembering previous conversations/names/etc. - i.e. they truly care about the customer vs. just pushing a product. I have nothing but praise for Nancy, Lance and Duane.

I passed by several shops, including one in my own community, to make this purchase and I have no regrets! I do support my local shop but my heart (and $$$$) will now go to The Bike Rack. Kudos!!!!

They are a Trek dealer and from the interaction I've had with contacting Trek, they are well-known and respected by the company.
