The shock is adjustable. Unfortunately it is difficult to adjust quickly on a ride. There is a nut below the yellow elastomer which adjusts the travel. I'd say travel is adjustable from as little as 1/2" to about 2 1/2 "..some have achieved travel of 3 1/2 " by making some modifications. Elitists scoff at it because it "looks strange" or "isnt the latest" but I'll let them be assh.les as I fly past them.
Afterall its 90% rider 10% bike. Any pro racer would still whoop our a..es on a Huffy. Right?
