There is no universal definition to what makes a hybrid a hybrid, or sub-divides the dozens or hundreds of sub-categories. Spend a few minutes reading the "best hybrid for $xxx" threads and someone will suggest a comfort, or a cyclocross, or a some-schumtz-a-butta, and then everyone will chime in on what makes a comfort a comfort. There should be no universal definition of what stereotypical small minded classification a specific bike falls into.
If you tell me my bike isn't a hybrid because it has no features to go off road, and it isn't a flat bar road bike because it has MTB pcs, and it isn't a city bike because it doesn't have a rear fender with a reflector, I am going to tell you to pound salt (which may be a CNY expression and if it makes no sense to you, sorry). Your definitions sound pretentious, small minded, and largely incorrect. Of course there are differences in bikes. But those differences are not carried in some cheese ball label, they are in the bike itself.
But have a great evening.
