I woke up with a gnarly head cold that almost prevented me from riding in. However, when I looked outside I was greeted by a two-foot-high pile of dirt that was blocking my driveway. My street is being repaved this week. Instead of plowing through the dirt with my tiny car, I decided to grab the electra for a slow but steady upright ride to work. I did not want snot dripping out of my nose the whole way on my road bike.

Here is the good part!

I am thrilled that I decided to ride in today because the sky was littered with hot air baloons that were practicing for the annual race this weekend. Good thing that I rode the cruiser. I could look up at the beautiful balloons almost the entire way to work. Today's ride was a good ride.
