I was riding on my homeward leg last night (heading south on 287 between Fort Collins and Loveland) when someone screamed at me as they drove by. A first for me.
Now this was not just you typical shout out. This guy actually opened the door of the car and leaned out as he yelled at me!
Now, i did not understand a single sylibal this person uttered. But how could this act not make me feel special?
Just thought I'd share.
They were most probably yelling something about you getting off the road but the best thing to do is to
wave to them. If they are being an idiot it frustrates them (because you don't come down to their level) and if they are being friendly it returns the compliment. A friend of mine did that and the guy went arround the block to come past again and yell "I was yelling at you dickhead!", of course my friend just waved back again and smiled
As an aside, on my LoGo Recumbent trike I often get "wicked bike", "cool", "way wicked" or "I want one!"
And I always get a kick out of it. On our way around Australia we got plenty of that, not to mention photo's and videos. Cycling is wonderful isn't it?
