Rimcrest is in a neighborhood, so no need for a day pass. But there are restrictions on what time you can park on the east side of the street (last time I think it was 8 AM-which isn't good when it is this hot!!). The west side is neighborhood permit parking I think.
Nowadays I park on Vesuvius in Brea. (don't do it Monday, street sweeping) Gives me some warm up miles before I climb North Ridge.
