london's bike share is influenced by how the roads are being redesigned for bike traffic.
Gains in bike traffic driven by road redesign is an irrefutable aspect of bicycling in large congested cities that have seen bicycle ridership historically driven to extremely low rider share via automania *sic* .
I guess a bit of blue paint suddenly inspires the masses who haven't exercised meaningfully in years that they can suddenly cycle 15+ miles through the rush hour traffic in perfect safety and arrive ready to do a day's work then?
Since you clearly know so much more about my home town than I do I guess I'll have to defer to your superior knowledge. In the meantime I'll keep cycling on these streets you know better than I do and guess why the roads that don't have blue paint on them seem to be seeing the same phenomena as those that do. You know, the roads that haven't changed in years and where the cycle lanes still go through potholes or have trees planted in the middle of them.
