Everything stays on my bike except my wallet and phone. I don't live in a high crime area. My bike gets locked. I don't think there's a single item on my bike that cost more than $40, other than my headlight and I don't think anyone would just steal that. If I took everything off my bike, it would be too much hassle to stop anywhere, for me anyway.
