Its ok, you learn about coach rip during month 11.

I tend to agree with him. While he might be speaking in general terms, what he's saying applies to any sport. Can an avg joe who goes for a 5 mile run every morning after his coffee consider himself an athlete? The guy who plays basketball at the Y every sunday night? The guy who bombs around on his bike 3 or 4 times a week? Heck, the same can be said for a Crossfitter.

It might sound like semantics, and this is just my opinion, but you can be athletic without being an 'athlete'.
