Not being a dick, just pointing out that the only way to avoid the right hook is to be a good defensive driver. Never allow yourself to be caught in the situation where a car (or other cyclist) can turn right across your path:
1) Don't pass a car on the right when it is indicating a right turn, either by turn signal or just because it is slowing and drifting to the right. Read the subtle indications. If he's fully ahead of you, you have to let him turn, even if he was a dick and passed you just before.
2) Don't pass a line of slow-moving cars on the right just because you are in a bike lane and can see daylight in front of you. Eventually one of them will turn right into a driveway or side street and nail you without ever seeing you. (Many drivers don't want to move into the bike lane to make their turn like they're supposed to because they don't want thugs on bicycles foaming at the mouth pounding their fists on their fenders.)
Stop calling me names and make some constructive suggestions of your own to avoid this common hazard if you don't like mine.
