What are others getting out of the BB30's? Anyone problem free? What conditions do you ride in?
I ride mainly on dry roads but I do a few rides in the wet / rain.
Oh, and for me no "light grease" on install. Use loctite green instead and allow several DAYS for it to set up. (did I mention I hate, fing hate BB30?)
I think you need to find a new mechanic or start using a different bearing manufacturer. I have 21k miles on my BB30 bearings (1500mi of that in rain), the other bike in our household has 15k on the bearings, both sets are still very smooth.
