I know this seems sad, but if you look at it, the Mavic mount is made to be strapped to the stem like that. That IMO, is kind of a sad way of doing it, but that is the way they come. If you look at the pdf for the instructions on mounting in thelink below, it shows how you zip tie the mount to the stem, then slide the computer onto the mount.
If you remove the computer from themount on your bike, you'll see what I mean. I don't know of another mount made to fit those that will eliminate the Zip-ties.
