I doubt the wall thickness on fancy folders is more than 1/16". That is a beefy tube, and gets you up to some fairly large spars. Steel can often be 1/4 wall thickness of aluminum, and I can't see needing a 1/2" wall in an aluminum folder. It's all guesswork until I get started...
