Both Knogs seem under powered (even for just "being seen"). If it is a dark area, you'll want more light to see the road, on streets and in traffic, you need to standout from the ambient light from street lights etc. Maybe the flash pattern is such that you do standout, but in general anything running on 2032's isnt putting out much light; AAAs will put out more, but the runtine and lumens to weight factor is low.

Consider any of a number of P60 type 18650 lights like this one. There is a wide selection of modes, features and lumens to choose from in the same price category as the knog.
