And you surely don't want to know about the number of Schwinn bikes that seem to be collecting in my basement of late! My favourite ride right now is that stinking Schwinn Collegiate that I *hate* carrying up and down the steps on the front porch, much less the steps down to the basement when I need to work on it. I'm to the point I'm tempted to carry the bike stand and tools up to the living room to work on the bike rather than move it around... The thing that's crazy is that once I'm riding the bike, it is pure love and it just seems like a nearly perfect fit to the kind of riding I do. I can't figure out what it is about the bike that is so appealing. It isn't like it is in perfect condition or anything like that. It borders on being a beater forchrissakes. Here's proof:
