1995 Specialized Stumpjumper

I'll be looking at a 1995 Stumpjumper. I'm going to use the bike as a year-around damp & snowy roads and on trails do-everything bike.

It sounds well used: "The frame is scratched up a bit, but i's fast, handles well, and is ready to ride."

I'll install a rigid fork, new handlebars and maybe new shifters.

The owner is asking $375. If the bike has dents or cracks, I'll walk. But if it's undamaged but scratched up, what should I pay?
