I know I may get flamed for what seems to be an obvious question(!), but here goes...

The rechargeable battery used in the Contour 1080 video camera is a 3.7v battery 1050mAh Li-ion.
The question is will any battery with this configuration work with the Contour or does it magically have to be purchased from Contour or specified "for Contour"?
