I guess I'm not getting why your trying to find something new that is similar to the retro steel mtb's? I mean you were looking for a 75 Camaro that had 14" rims and carburated with a 4spd transmission. You wouldn't walk into a dealership and ask what do they have that's similar to that. These things are pretty much everywhere for dirt cheap so just get what works and what your looking for? I picked up a few old MTB's(Trek Antelope and a Paramount PDG30) both for under $100. They were both pretty ragged but the frames and fork are what I wanted for future projects to build off of.
