About to purchase a road bike and test drove a bunch the other weekend. I think I have narrowed it down to the above and wanted to get thoughts on which is the better bike if ignoring the slight price advantage of the Giant given they are being cleared out this time of year.

Both bikes seemed to fit me well, and have very similar geometries.

The Trek has an Apex 10 speed groupset while the Giant has a 9 speed Tiagra.
The new 3.1 also has a tapered steering tube which I don't think the Giant has.

I am leaning towards the Madone as I really enjoyed the SRAM doubletap shifters.
