Ritchey Crossmax Pros seem to be a good compromise when you need tires for street and trail. I put some 32s on my Salsa Casseroll for riding on the New River Trail last summer and they were great, even when we got caught in a heavy downpour. On the road, I took it easier on the corners but they seemed to roll pretty good. They are also reasonably light at 350 g.
