Cool new vintage bike place

I'm going to plug a new place opening up soon in our town. It's called The Bike Shop by RevolveKC (here on Facebook and here on the web.)

It's a small place with some big ideas - essentially, a community bike shop and total non-profit. I stopped by to donate some bicycles and some time, and got a chance to check things out (they are a lot further along than they were the last time I stopped in...for instance, instead of empty floor space, they now have the place and rafters filled with bikes and some jerseys and things.) I've been wanting a vintage or vintage-looking wool jersey for a while now and guess what? They had five of them donated and on the rack for sale: brand new, horizontal striped and long sleeved with rear zip pocket, merino wool: fifty bucks. (There are now four left, two in XL and two in XXL in case anyone else is interested.)

A nice looking SR Triathlon in about a 56cm size with all Suntour Superbe. A handful of Peugeots - one from the fifties - and a Motobecane, along with the usual assortment of balloon tire rides and Schwinns and Raleighs, etc. A Viscount came in after I left.

I'm going to help rebuild some bikes for them (turns out that a lot of young mechanics don't really know how to work with ten speeds, cottered cranks, and the ilk - especially French-threaded stuff!), and set up some photo sessions for some of the more interesting bikes. I'll post those here because based on what I saw today, there may be some great shots to be had.
