FWIW, the only problems I've heard about with the fastback seat stay to seat lug brazing on late nineties 2200s was caused by people using the wrong size seatpost, putting stress on the lug and stay brazing.

Up until around the 2000 model year, 1200s and 2200s required 27.4mm seatposts. However, a 27.2mm seatpost often fit and out of ignorance, some owners used 27.2mm seatposts which could lead to problems.
