one question regarding that particular position, people say about time trials is that you should stay relaxed so that the arm muscles will help clear lactate as opposed to creating more of them. For that particular position, how do you stay relaxed so that it doesn't feel as if your arms are bearing a lot of the weight? The reason i ask this is that collegiate time trials are basically Merckx TT, so i have to stay aero for extended periods of time.
engage your core. there's really not much weight being placed on my arms, and when I relax them, they act more like shock absorbers / springs.
