That's true. BB7s are good brakes, but they do require a little bit more attention than a good set of hydraulics. I'm a big fan of Formula brakes. Currently there are a lot of K18s on Ebay for a pretty good price. If anyone is interested in trying them, the thing to do is to try and figure out how long the line should be so that you don't have to cut the line (although it isn't really that hard) and buy the brakes with the correct size line. You'll also need a rotor and adaptor kit for each brake. Check your fork to see if you need an I.S. (side mount) or direct mount (bolts go in from back of fork instead of side). The majority of rear brakes are I.S. mount.
