No. I really liked the power transfer but disliked clipping in/out all the time enough to go back to my Wellgos & doubles.

I want to sell Cyclocross stuff to people cheaply a la retrogression but I have no startup capital or e-sense. What is the one thing I should work on?
I started Bikeage without putting any money into it. Zero dollars off the top. Literally.

For those who weren't around then, I made some Sheldon Brown shirts for myself and a few friends back when I was working as a screen printer, posted a pic of mine on SSFG and everyone wanted them. In order to find a way to sell shirts with Sheldon's image on them that I felt good about, I contacted MassBike and agreed to donate a lot of the proceeds to them. I put up a rinky-dink website featuring the Sheldon shirts and a few others I whipped up and people were buying them like crazy. It's funny to see how far it's come since we had only three shirts for sale on the site.

All it really takes is common sense, a LOT of free time and the right set of ethics. The lesson my dad taught me about never learning anything without getting some dirt under your fingernails totally applies here too, as I've managed to learn a lot by doing things the hard way and doing a whole lot of grunt work myself. The hardest part about running a shop which operates solely online is finding distributors who will cater to you without having an actual brick & mortar physical location. That's why we sometimes have trouble getting certain things - because we're working with smaller distributors who don't stock as much as giants like QBP and Hawley (who won't give us the time of day). I don't want to give away too many trade secrets publicly but if you want to e-mail me, we'll continue the discussion.
